"15 Security Officials Lift My Car"

This is a story of how a woman from Minsk outwitted AMAP officers during the Sunday March.

Ania from Minsk told in her Instagram account an incredible story about how she drove into the epicenter of dispersal in the Arlouskaya street area last Sunday but was able to figure out how to avoid detention and help out her friends.

- On Sunday, in the midst of dispersal on Arlouskaya street, I go to pick up my friends from the entrance where they were hiding. I was going alone because we had a cleaning at home that day, and the cleaner accidentally barricaded itself in the apartment. Yahor Perakhod stayed to wait for the locksmith, and I went for the guys.

The roads were blocked, so we had to make our way through the courtyards and a little along the sidewalks since the courtyards were densely parked. At some point, I drove straight to the paddy wagon with its inhabitants around, carefully drove past, and turned into the yard I needed. It is worth saying that I have never been to this area and was guided only by the navigator.

Having driven into the courtyard, I ended up in the lair of the security forces, who were grabbing people there. Several beads and pieces of 50 guys in body armor, helmets / masks / balaclavas. I understand that I have to get past them very quickly, I don't really want to give them the opportunity to break the windows and take me out of the car, but right in front of me, one of the cars starts to turn around. In order not to stand still, I decide to use the sidewalk again and drive along it with my right wheels to get out of this hive. But in the dark, I did not see that it was not a sidewalk, but a curb on a hill, which was low on my side and high on the other. With a crash, I sit down on the curb and get stuck.

The security forces begin to pull up to the car, I try to move in any direction, but without a chance. Next is the autopilot. Sitting in a wheelbarrow was not an option, running away too. I grabbed the keys (the car will not go without them), run out of the car, and pretended as much as possible that I did not pay attention or did not understand the nature of guys in uniform and without around, I started hysteria: "God, what have I done! How did it happen ?! What should I do now? How to get it out?"

For a few seconds, everyone was silent, there was a feeling of shock from all sides, and then one of them says: "uh, well, let's get it. Guys, come here, help the girl, get someone behind the wheel." Those who were nearby and shone their lanterns into the yard ran up to the car.

As a result, about 15 security officials lift my car, one of them is sitting behind the wheel, the door is open, I stand as close as possible so that the car goes (I was not going to give them the keys), the navigator shows 70 meters to the destination point, and someone calms me down "don't worry, we'll get it now." If only they knew how much I didn't care about the car at that moment.

As a result, the car was taken out; I got into it, locked myself, and realized that there was a dead-end ahead; the navigator took me through a blind parking lot. I understand that turning around in this situation is as pale as possible, so I just quickly park in the only free slot a meter away from me and a meter away from the bus, turn off the car, and quietly wait until everyone disperses.

After some time, the beads are dispersed, I take the guys, and we return home.

This story is still difficult for me to believe; it seems that I dreamed, it does not happen.

From the first thoughts after the whole situation:

it's good that I was alone; otherwise, this role would not have worked out so well

they had human voices; for some reason, it really surprised me at that moment

about 15 law enforcers were distracted by my car instead of catching people in the yards. I have long wanted to come up with a red herring!

Take care of yourself. Long live Belarus!
