The goods are forced to be thrown away right at the border.

A reader of the Basta! telegram channel told a story about how customs officers at the Belarusian border banned the import of goods purchased from EU countries.

- On September 19, I crossed the Poland-Belarus border in Berastovitsa. I was returning from work to my family. But at customs, I had to listen to explanations why I should throw out chocolates and other things right at the border.

6 people were dropped off the buses. I threw away goods worth 20 euros, other people for 150, including children's shoes, toys, etc.

The customs official said that there was an order not to recognize goods bought abroad for personal use. Thus, it must either be cleared through customs or returned, in my case, to Poland, regardless of what you're carrying, two chocolates or a product worth 100 euros.
