Foreign Ministry Revokes Accreditation of All Foreign Media in Belarus

The authorities' crimes against freedom of speech continue.

Belarus will introduce a new procedure for the accreditation of foreign journalists on October 2. All previously issued accreditation cards will be canceled. This was announced by the press secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Anatol Hlaz, tut.by reports.

Hlaz said that from today, all previously issued accreditations are canceled. A special commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs starts working on Monday, which will carry out accreditation according to the new rules.

Let us remind you that, at the end of August 19, journalists of foreign media were deprived of their accreditation in Belarus. Among them are journalists working for the BBC, Reuters, Radio Svaboda, AFP, and others.

Difficulties with printing circulation and distribution are also experienced by print media - the Belarusian "Komsomolskaya Pravda," "Narodnaya Volya," "Belgazeta," "Svobodnye Novosti Plus."

From October 1, by the decision of the Ministry of Information, TUT.BY lost its status as a media outlet.
