Norway Joins EU Sanctions Against Lukashenka's Regime

This was stated by the head of the Norwegian Foreign Ministry.

Norway will join the EU sanctions against Lukashenka's regime, the decision on which was made on Friday. This was announced by the head of the Norwegian Foreign Ministry Ine Eriksen Søreide, TASS reports.

"As we informed earlier, Norway will follow the EU and introduce restrictive measures against the same people as the EU," the Norwegian Telegraph Bureau quoted her as saying. Norway is not a member of the European Union.

The EU published on Friday in the Official Journal of the European Union and thus introduced a blacklist, which includes 44 representatives of Lukashenka's regime. In particular, the sanctions target the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yury Karaeu and the chairman of the CEC Lidzia Yarmoshyna.
