Liberation March Held In Belarus

The eighth Sunday protest action, which gathered more than one hundred thousand people.

All over Belarus people went to the traditional Sunday protest March. This time it was called the Liberation March. The protesters in Minsk marched along the central streets of the city, and demanded the release of political prisoners under the walls of the Akrestsin Street prison.

It should be noted that despite the statements of pro-government propagandists that "the protest is fading away", Belarusians continue to come out for traditional Sunday marches.

Today's March became the eighth in a row (the first action, the National March for Freedom in Belarus), took place on August 16 and, according to the Russian news agency Interfax, more than 100 thousand people gathered in Minsk alone.
