Minsk Resident From "Square of Changes" Who Was Attacked by Lukashists Is in Critical Condition

He was brought to the operating room already in a coma.

The last message that 31-year-old Raman Bandarenka wrote in the courtyard chat of the famous Minsk "Square of Changes" was: "I'm going out!" According to his neighbors, masked men came again to remove the white-red-white ribbons, and, at some point, a scuffle began. The beaten Raman was brought into a minibus and taken away; about an hour and a half later, the guy was taken from the ROVD to an emergency hospital with cerebral edema.

- Roman was admitted to the emergency hospital at 00.05 at night with large cerebral edema, closed craniocerebral trauma, subdural hematomas, bruises, abrasions. He was in a sluggish state, but he was already brought to the operating room in a coma. The operation lasted several hours, - was said in the emergency hospital.

According to doctors, the young man is in critical condition, tut.by writes.

On Wednesday evening, residents of houses from the "Square of Changes" saw that minibusses with unknown persons in masks had come to them to remove the white-red-white ribbons once again.

"It was at 22.00," says Julia, a resident of the house.

- Six men and three women arrived in civilian clothes. Judging by their conversation, women were not ordinary.

Residents of high-rise buildings immediately wrote about this in the local chat. Among those who decided to go out was 31-year-old Raman Bandarenka; he managed to write: "I'm going out!"

- Between a man in a balaclava and an unknown guy, some kind of verbal skirmish ensued; Roma did not participate in it; he stood nearby and listened, - says an eyewitness of the events. - Then he said something, and a man in a balaclava asked: "Why are you so sassy?" He pushed Roma closer to the mural, Roma tried to dodge, but the unknown grabbed him and threw him with all his might to the slide on the playground. Roma hit his head hard.

Residents note that then everything developed rapidly, and it is not completely clear how: someone's phone fell out, someone picked it up and began to run away.

- Already two people began to beat already Roma. They beat not only him but also an unknown guy, who initially spoke with a man in a balaclava. It was around 10.16 pm, - local residents add. - Then Roman was taken away. It's hard to say the exact time, but, at 22.30, we were already at home. They began to call the police departments, and only in Central, they started asking who we were and asked to leave our information.

Later, the neighbors found out: Raman Bandarenka is in a hospital in serious condition. He entered there with the wording " injuries received during a fight."

According to our interlocutors, Raman is an artist. Just yesterday, he quit his job.

Investigative actions are underway on the "Square of Changes"

Tatstsiana, a resident of the "Square of Changes," is one of those interviewed by the Investigative Committee. She claims that four minibusses arrived at their house yesterday.

"Those were the ones used for during all the rallies," says Tatstsiana. - There were two beads with tinted windows; I could see the driver in black clothes and balaclava. In two other minibusses, there were people in civilian uniforms, masks, with hoods and caps. Raman asked them why they had come and what they were doing. One of the men was initially aggressive and began to be rude, insult, and then pushed Raman.

Tatstsiana recalls that, at some point, she was distracted by the child; when she turned around - Raman Bandarenka was already held by several people.

- It was clear that people know how to conduct detentions. Raman was carried to the minibus in consciousness, - says Tatstsiana, who was also an eyewitness to the events.

Nasha Niva spoke with Raman's cousin.

"Eyewitnesses told his mother that Raman was thrown into a bead, after which the bead swayed a lot. Perhaps, he was beaten?

Then, he was taken to the police station. Roma was in a sluggish state and began to vomit. But for some reason, he spent 2 hours in the police department, - says his sister. - Then he went to the hospital, where he had an operation.

Today there is a consultation at the hospital; a professor has arrived. They say that if he had been brought to the hospital earlier, there would have been some chances, but now, there are very few chances at all. Doctors say he was brought in very late. Now Roman is in a coma."
