"I Refuse To Sponsor Illegal Regime With My Labor"

The miner of Belaruskali declared a strike under the ground.

Another miner of Belaruskali has refused to rise to the surface and joined the strike under the ground.

This is reported by the Belaruskali strike committee.

Aliaksandr Kliazovich, a mining machine operator at the mine of the 4th Mining Department of Belaruskali, refused to go up to the surface and declared about joining the strike at 1:30 a.m. on November 24.

The strike committee also published the text of the miner's statement:

"I, Aliaksandr Kliazovich, a mining machine operator at the mine of the 4th Mining Department of Belaruskali, declare that I'm not ready to put up with the current lawlessness in our country.

Another murder of a young guy last week, senseless in their cruelty detention of citizens at peaceful actions, the use of light-noise grenades and gas against pensioners, threats with weapons and arrests of parents in front of little children - all this shows the pettiness and meanness of people who have seized power in our country.

I refuse to sponsor representatives of the illegitimate regime, which considers us slaves who must sweat their guts out for the handouts. We have been deprived of a decent life and the right to choose. We have lost respect for each other. We have learned a lot about each other after the August events. We have started to judge people not by their words, but by actions.

I believe that strike is the only legal and bloodless way to stop the arbitrariness and violence, so I support the demands of the Stachkomstrike committee and join the strike.

We remind that earlier Belaruskali miners Yury Korzun and Aleh Kudzelka joined the strike right in the mine and handcuffed themselves underground.
