Heiko Maas confirmed the expansion of sanctions against the regime.
The European Union may expand sanctions against the regime of Aliaksandr Lukashenka. He is demanded to make concessions and stop violence against the Belarusian people.
According to RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas during the Minsk Forum.
The politician noted that “since Lukashenka and his ruling clique continue to rely on truncheons instead of a serious national dialogue, we in the European Union introduced sanctions, and recently tightened them. And if Lukashenka and his supporters do not yield, we will expand these sanctions. It is important to note that we are targeting the pillars of the Lukashenka regime with the help of sanctions. ”
