The national team of Belarus has stayed without a medal.

The national team of Belarus stayed without a medal at the European home championship in the mixed relay. This decision was taken by the appeal jury, tut.by reports.

We remind that our quartet (Dzinara Alimbekava, Iryna Kryuko, Anton Smolski, Siarhei Bacharnikau) took the fourth place in the race.

After the finish, Belarus filed a protest against the unsporting behavior of the Norwegian team. Coach of the men's team Aleh Ryzhankou claimed that the Norwegian athlete, who ran in the last stage, pushed Siarhei Bacharnikau off the track.

After the meeting, the protest was satisfied. Thanks to that our team got bronze medals.

The Norwegians filed a protest against this decision immediately. According to the Belarusian Biathlon Federation, the appeal jury once again considered the whole situation. Taking into account the visual materials, as well as witness reports, the jury decided to agree to the protest.

Thus, the Norwegians have regained third place. The Belarusians are the fourth.
