Belarusian Authorities Not Prepared For Anything At All

We have heard only lies about success and readiness for everything, for like a quarter of a century.

You cannot put it any other way. At least I’m observing this in Barysau today. The coronavirus is manifesting. The people are reacting. And when things got tough, they really flew off the handle. Pharmacies were not ready for the influx of customers. No, they work as usual. But they don’t have what the customers want. Crowds of people are running from pharmacy to pharmacy. They make phone calls as well:

People are ready to sew these masks themselves. They are buying up everything that is possible. Gauze, activated carbon, antiseptics, ointments ...

Queues around. Fuss.

I will say one thing. The authorities in this country are not ready for anything at all. We have heard only lies about success and readiness for everything, for like a quarter of a century.

There is almost no information about the real situation. The authorities continue to drive people to subbotniks, creating a crowd of people. Will Horki think of canceling a non-paid voluntary working day tomorrow?
