Three-time Olympic Champion: "Chief Physician" Does not Consider Coronavirus Dangerous

Uladzimir Parfenovich tells whether something has changed in the work of children's sports schools.

Famous coach and three-time Olympic Champion Uladzimir Parfenovich has recently been working at a children's sports school in Mosty, Hrodna region. Before that he was a member of the coaching staff of Russia and Poland, reports Radio Racyja.

"Our sports school works as usual, nothing has changed. Our "chief physician" does not consider the situation with the coronavirus dangerous. They say there's nothing to pretend to be sick, a tractor in a village can cure you. The Neman water cures us here in Masty. That's why children are still training, there was no order to send them home", says Uladzimir Parfenovich.

Answering the question whether the Ministry of Sports ordered to suspend competitions for children, the coach said:

"If I'm not wrong, the children's competitions were cancelled for a month, but training continues. The sports camps were not cancelled either.

It's a strange situation. All countries with registered cases of coronavirus close the borders, schools and kindergartens. Only we stay idle. The authorities ordered not to introduce quarantine. They say everything is under control here".
