Three cases of coronavirus have been registered in Belarus, but the results will still be sent to one of the WHO reference laboratories to confirm them. This was reported by Natallia Zhukava, deputy minister of health, chief state sanitary doctor of Belarus, at a briefing in the Ministry of Health today, March 2, tut.by reports.

All three confirmed cases were found in Minsk and Vitsebsk. The Ministry of Health does not disclose the names and other personal data of patients.

Two patients, hospitalized in Minsk, feel okay, one patient's temperature is not even increased, the chief infectious disease specialist of the country, Ihar Karpau, said.

We remind that on February 28, the Ministry of Health reported that the first case of coronavirus had been confirmed in Belarus. On February 27, tests, conducted at the National Scientific and Practical Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, showed the presence of 2019-nCoV coronavirus in a student from Iran. He studies at BNTU and lives in a rented apartment in one of the city districts. His girlfriend, her parents and sister were hospitalized with the student. In addition, 26 of the guy's groupmates and 7 teachers were hospitalized.

The test of the father of the bride of the student from Iran showed a "questionable result" - he became the second patient with coronavirus.

On March 1, one of the tests of a Belarusian from Vitsebsk showed a fragment of RNA, which may belong to the type of coronavirus 2019-nCoV. The Belarusian and two of her colleagues came from Italy. This patient is undergoing in-depth laboratory diagnostics. Two of her colleagues had negative results.

According to Alena Bohdan, the head of the main department of the organization of medical care, expertise, appeals of citizens and legal entities of the Ministry of Health, all three confirmed cases were identified through preventive measures taken in the country.
