The number of infected people may increase dramatically because there is no quarantine in the country.

Belarusian Viktar and his friend went to a concert in Berlin in early March. On March 10, he returned to Minsk. A few days later his friend got sick, he was diagnosed with coronavirus, Euronews reports.

Viktar was immediately taken to hospital:

"I was immediately taken as a level 1 contact, because I was in contact with him. When they brought me in, they swabbed me in the morning, and a day and a half later they diagnosed me with the virus. How could we get infected? We went to a concert. There were a thousand and a half people there."

All Viktar's coronavirus tests were positive, but his first symptoms didn't appear until 13 days later.

"At one point, my fever went up to 38, and they suspected pneumonia. There was a rare cough, a stuffy nose without a runny nose, the sense of smell disappeared," - Viktar says.

According to Viktar, if it hadn't been for the test, he wouldn't have known he was infected: he would have led a normal life and could have infected many other people.

Now the young man feels much better. However, to get out of the hospital, he has to have two negative tests.

"I wouldn't panic outright about the virus, but I wouldn't, looking at me, think it might be quite easy. Pneumonia can start at any moment very quickly. So there's a reason I'm staying in the hospital. I can get sick at any moment."

"There are no viruses here."

The Republic of Belarus is one of the few countries where there is no quarantine, but almost 155 thousand Belarusians have already signed a petition on the change.org platform urging to introduce it. Belarusians are convinced that there are much more patients in the country than reported by the Ministry of Health, but only they are diagnosed with "pneumonia".

Lukashenka recently said that the best way to counteract the coronavirus is to play sports and go out in the open air.

"There are no viruses here. You haven't noticed that they are flying, and I can't see them either. It's a fridge, it's the best health. There's nothing better than sport, especially ice, this fridge... A real antiviral drug," - Lukashenka said recently during a hockey match.
