Brest blogger Siarhei Piatrukhin has been discharged from hospital after two weeks of coronavirus treatment. Now the blogger is on self-isolation, waiting for the test results. Siarhei Piatrukhin has told Belsat how he was treated and how he feels now.

Blogger Siarhei Piatrukhin was diagnosed with coronavirus on May 14. The blogger was hospitalized in the Central City Hospital. Earlier, another blogger, - the author of the People's Reporter channel, Aliaksandr Kabanau, tested positive for coronavirus.

Now Siarhei Piatrukhin is already at home. He's been in the hospital for two weeks, and now he's on self-isolation.

"I feel fine now. I've been in the hospital for two weeks. During the treatment in the hospital I was given cough medicine, antibiotics, some medicines for the stomach. I had almost no symptoms, they just found coronavirus in my swab. There were not severe cases in our ward, so I didn't see any serious ones. We were treated the same way. And now I am on self isolation, waiting for the results of the test, "- Siarhei Piatrukhin told Belsat.

The blogger specified that he was discharged from the hospital on May 26. The results of another test for coronavirus are expected to arrive soon. Siarhei Piatrukhin says that doctors have to work extremely hard now.

"Doctors wear protective suits, but certainly not anti-plague suits. These are light suits, transparent plastic on the face, overshoes. The attitude was pretty good. A lot of doctors recognized me. It's interesting that the doctors talked about solidarity, expressed support. But they didn't answer my questions. I asked about extra payments, about work, about infections. The doctors said they had no problems, but I didn't believe them. It seems to me that people are intimidated", - Siarhei Piatrukhin expresses his opinion.

Also, according to the blogger, the official statistics on infected and deceased from coronavirus, voiced by the Ministry of Health, cannot be considered accurate.

"One doctor told me that every day about 70 people die in Brest from pneumonia. This doctor emphasized that in the hospital where I was staying, all patients had mild symptoms. But in the other ones, it's terrible. The entire Brest Central Hospital is entirely allocated to those infected with coronavirus. There were doctors among the patients in the hospital, too."
