Aliaksandr Sakharuk reported on the unprecedented size of the queue in Brest.
According to the REP trade union activist in Brest, Aliaksandr Sakharuk, an award-winning veteran of the war in Afghanistan, the queue to the tables of signature collectors for Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya was about 3000 people, Radio Racyja reports.
"It's longer than the queue to the Lenin Mausoleum in Soviet times. There are people standing on both sides, with long queues - all this shows that people are squeezing the slave out of themselves. Most of them are young people - it's already a pleasure. There were a lot of people like me, over 50, too. This queue is also standing for Siarhei Tsikhanouski's freedom. So far it is silent one, but it is already solidarity," - Aliaksandr Sakharuk says.
According to Aliaksandr Sakharuk, his children were born, grew up, started families and had children under Lukashenka. And he does not want his grandchildren to grow up under the dictator. According to Sakharuk, Lukashenka and his method of governance have destroyed the country and led people to poverty. People don't want to see Lukashenka in power anymore. The queues at the pickets for Tsikhanouskaya show that people crave freedom and justice.
