- Good afternoon, Yury Iosifavich!

- Good afternoon, nice to hear you.

- Well, is Belarus on the rise? It seems that there has never been such a protest activity in the country, right?

- Of course, the protest activity has been there all these years. I remember it well in 2001, in 2006, in 2010. Everything seemed to be escalating. This activity slightly decreased in 2015, but I think that this is due to the war in Ukraine. And now the biggest peak has come. This was to be expected, because new technologies, a new century, a new time, new people are coming. Younger people are more advanced than we, the old pensioners, these are all the people who want freedom and understand internally that without freedom they cannot develop, define themselves, or express themselves. It is natural.

This conflict has matured, it has been growing all the time, and now it has reached its current peak. Perhaps in the future, if, God forbid, still it will not be possible to change power in Belarus, although I hope that Belarusians will be able to get rid of this yoke this time, then in any case, if Lukashenka retains power in the future, then this peak will rise. Because there is a collapse in the economy, you can not manage the economy as it is now, there is also collapse in politics, in education. Almost everyone in Belarus already feels the complete chaos that is happening today.

- Does this power no longer have any potential in any case?

-Yes, it’s obvious. Although, of course, it has the potential of making people laugh. When I look at Lukashenka, for example, watching the footage where he allegedly met with the opposition in Brest, I always recalled the old nursery rhyme, the count: “Pussy’s crying in the hallway, she has grief today. Evil people don’t let the poor pussy steal the sausage.”

You see, this is the man who broke the Constitution, who completely robbed the country. Consider, this is just what we know: 120 million dollars for his Boeing, the internal contents of which cost another $ 300 million (recently, by the way, they showed how it all works). Here you have half a billion. Plus, his residence is “Tsal Deer Bie”, which took about 350 million dollars. Look, we’re getting close to a billion. And he also has, among other things, somewhere around 18 residences. Multiply by 100 thousand at least. Do not forget the golden dishes, and all the luxury with which he surrounded himself.

Here you have the 2-3 billion that we see. What are they showing us? We are shown how they found $ 900 thousand behind Tsikhanouski’s couch after the fourth attempt. Well guys, this is funny.

And it’s funny not so much that this person simply lies without blinking, there is this character writers Ilf and Petrov created, Sashkin, remember him? He stands and lies to you about how correct he is; he is ready to give his salary to conduct a “fair” referendum. We know how he holds these referenda. He will again get Yarmoshyna counting.

These guys whom I don’t know, if this is the Brest opposition, which I don’t really believe, they stand there, shaking his hand, saying: “No, of course, we are only fighting for the environment” ...

- These, obviously, were the specially delivered extras.

-I felt that way, too. “And can we take a picture with you” ... You see, all these decorations are very funny. I don’t know such idiots who will take this as the truth today.

It seems to me that the style that young guys, and not only, mature people as well, have adopted today is to joyfully, merrily go to their freedom, to lead their country to freedom - this is a real, interesting move. By the way, for this Belarusians are now respected by people in the world even more. Everywhere they write: “We are proud of you.” And really, there is something to be proud of. One can be proud of how beautiful they are, how young they are, how full of strength they are, that hope burning in their eyes. The only thing is, God forbid, guys, once again, sorry for the expression, do not waste away this hope that we have.

We are dealing with one of the most thieving, if not the most, man, I have listed everything that he officially sneaked to himself, and imagine how much he has hidden there that we do not know. I would love to make this revolution in order to understand what his appetites really are. Because then we will find out everything, we will reveal everything. It is very interesting.

It seems to me that the most interesting, the most important and the most joyful thing today is the eyes of the people who take to the streets of Belarusian cities.

- Lukashenka is clearly in a panic. Judging by his latest statements and actions, has he ever been so scared?

- Of course, the higher the monkey climbs the tree, the better its red ass is visible. Same thing with him. He had already reached the very top. And, of course, he managed to swindle absolutely everyone, managed to break all the laws in all possible and impossible ways. Not only criminal and constitutional laws, but also God's. Do you understand this? And he put many people now in connection with the pandemic to a critical option. Those naive people who, after listening to him, did not take care of themselves in this difficult time, did not take care of their children, sent them to schools where they could become infected.

By the way, smart Belarusians are what gives me hope. They themselves, without him, without power quickly learned how to preserve themselves, how to isolate themselves, how to behave in this situation. It is obvious that Belarusians did everything in order to save themselves. They are great and thank them for that. This is what is obvious today.

- You have already noted that hundreds of thousands of Belarusians went to pickets for alternative presidential candidates. Now the two main participants in this campaign - Viktar Babaryka and Siarhei tsikhanouski - are arrested. How can the leaders be liberated?

- We must try to free them. But the frontal collision, it seems to me, is not even necessary. There are simpler ways. You just need to stop. From my point of view, the most normal move today is a strike. It means having no common affairs with the power.

Take your deposits from the banks, it is best to turn them into dollars. This, by the way, I advise absolutely everyone, because otherwise after the election you yourself will understand that I was right. They will short-change everyone whom they can short-change.

We must stop having any affairs with this power, we need a general strike. I assure you that this is a very effective thing. And, of course, do not forget that leaders need support. The fact is that not only leaders are in charge of the society, but the society is in charge of their leaders. I always said that. They must be protected by all possible means, up to the Square. At the same time, without aggression, with a smile, joyfully, without direct collisions.

The clashes we have today are ideological. They are aesthetic today, I would even say. The kolkhoz ideology of slavery clashes with hope, with freedom, with the love of people for a new life, for a life where the realization of all one's strengths and undertakings is possible, where one can earn money, see the world, become Elon Musk in order to try to take a wider look, to expand the horizons, to see other planets ... What am I talking about! Not time, but a complete dream. This must be used.

- Now even law-enforcement officers are participating in the flash mob “We Are 97%” and “Lukashenka must leave.” Do you think the police and the army will finally be with the people?

- I think that Belarus is a small country and, in the end, all these riot policemen, regular policemen ... They have neighbors, friends, relatives, they have parents, fathers and mothers. They are slowly starting to realize that they are being thrown forward on those people who are also dear to them. It seems to me that this is the biggest problem with Lukashenka’s approach. This is not Russia, where riot policemen are brought from the Far East to Moscow so that they beat the locals, and Moscow riot police, meanwhile, travels to Vladivostok or Khabarovsk to beat people there. No, in Belarus we all live close together, we are all in sight of each other. If someone from the police didn’t get it yet, then it would be necessary for the guys to understand this.

“Look, you behave like this near your neighbors, near your relatives, and we are one big family, so behave yourself” - I appeal to those representatives of the law-enforcement agencies who have not yet understood this, and many, as I see, already got it, there is such information, thank God. I think this process should expand, and it will expand.

- The people nicknamed Lukashenka a cockroach. How do you like it? In my opinion, this is precise.

- Just for a laugh, I can say that I have a program called “Expert”. We do satirical cartoons about Lukashenka. Three years ago we made the issue, in which Yakubovich read the fairy tale “Cockroach” as a bedtime story to the children. It is still there on the site, named “The most brutal cartoon”. And suddenly, I look, people started watching it ... There were 100 thousand views, and then I looked again: in two days another 260 thousand were gained. Suddenly, people began to watch it and laugh. Yes, his name is cockroach and it is very similar to the tale of Korney Chukovsky. He should watch out in order not to turn into another character, the Buzzy-Wuzzy Busy Fly.

- You are the author of the film “Ordinary President”, you know Lukashenka well, his psychology. It seems to me that despite his maliciousness, he is a real coward. It's true?

-He has always been a coward. I watched him in the early years: wherever he went, wherever he was, whatever enterprise he visited, his eyes were running. It feels like he was always looking for a sniper on some roof. He was afraid all the time, and he still is.

I'll tell you, this is very interesting. Once I went into the yard in a car, my son was driving. I saw Stanislau Shushkevich across our yard. I told my son: “Look, here comes the former leader of the country. He walks calmly, not looking around, not afraid, everyone bows to him, everyone respects him. This is how one should be a normal person so that this happens. ”

I once rode with him also on the train, in the compartment carriage. You should have seen how people, passengers, compartment neighbors were addressing him. Absolutely normally. That’s what it means when a person has nothing heavy on his conscience.

And the way Lukashenka surrounds himself, how he protects himself and covers himself, surely shows that he has skeletons in his closet. He knows perfectly well what he has done and he, of course, is afraid. He is afraid, he is shaking, he cannot sleep at night. God forbid anyone to have such a life. I would not wish it to anyone.

- How do you see the departure of the dictator?

- It doesn’t matter how I see the dictator’s departure. Of course, I would like to see an honest, normal leave. So that he works till the end of his term and goes away. The important thing is how the dictator himself sees the departure, and here there’s a big problem already.

If he sees his departure as bloody, then he needs to see in front of him those frames of Gaddafi, which I think he sees all the time. And he can see normally how the same Pinochet left. Yes, he was tried, and there is something to stand trial for. But in the end there is a civilized approach to this matter.

And it’s best for him to negotiate. I think so far there is such an opportunity so that he calmly gives up power and leaves. I think that even with our most ardent opponents we can agree on for the future of Belarus, and for the sake of peace in our country. They would let him go. Although, of course, there is something to try him for.

- Now it seems that the victory is very close. How to prevent it from being stolen from the people?

- And I already spoke about it. The fact is that I am very worried about the intonation, which has recently been on many websites and on Facebook. This is the intonation of “ah, we won” and so on. No, guys, of course, it’s very cool that there are a lot of us, it’s great that you work so actively, collect signatures so actively, organize such wonderful meetings and flash mobs - this is all good, but this is not a victory.

I am very afraid that at some point, as is common for people, we will decide that we won, sit down and calm down, and at this moment our victory will be stolen. Therefore, we still need to work a lot more for a month and a half, try to do our best, and give a lot of our strength, skills, creativity and what the Belarusian people are rich with, for our victory. It is necessary today to keep up.

But most importantly, if, God blesses us, we win, even after victory, we should be taught on the bitter experience, we should not get off this power. We must control it. We must watch every day what they are doing, not allowing them to go crazy, just like the first Belarusian president went insane.
