Protesting Belarusians need support.

At the meeting of the European Parliament in Brussels, when discussing the situation in Belarus, sharp assessments of the pre-election repressive actions of the Belarusian authorities were made.

One of the leaders of the independent REP trade union Henadz Fiadynich in an interview with Radio Racyja, said that tough measures would probably be returned, in particular, personal sanctions against Belarusian officials who violate human rights.

- If today the government of Belarus acts undemocratic, illegal and ignores all previous OSCE recommendations, then, of course, the European Parliament should appeal to the EU and take appropriate measures not to ask, but to force it to do everything legally and democratically.

The trade union leader emphasizes that the agreement on visa facilitation, which provides cheaper visas for Belarusians, should remain.

“This is necessary first of all for our citizens, and not for the government,” Henadz Fiadynich is convinced.
