Metropolitan Tadevush Kandrusevich- Lukashenka: Blood Shed on City Streets Is a Grave Sin
TADEVUSH KANDRUSEVICH

The head of the Catholic Church in Belarus addressed the tyrant personally.

Metropolitan Tadevush Kandrusevich appealed to Lukashenka personally and "to all those who are vested with power at different levels in our state." The Archbishop's appeal was published on the Catholic.by portal.

"Our Fatherland is going through a difficult time, which, unfortunately, is already darkened by the shed blood, thousands of detained and severely beaten civilians who want to know the truth about the presidential elections held on August 9," he wrote.

"The shed blood on the streets of our cities, the beating of people who went to peaceful demonstrations who want to know the truth, the cruel treatment of them and detention in inhuman conditions in prisons are a grave sin on the conscience of those who give criminal orders and commit violence," said the Metropolitan.

He is confident that this will destabilize the situation and lead to the division of society. The Metropolitan also believes that it will take a long time "to heal the wounds inflicted as a result of trampling on the truth when the brother raised his hand against his brother ?!"
