Jauhen Afnahel: We Invite the Whole of Belarus to the Capital

Everyone goes to Minsk!

-Today we've talked to representatives of strike committees, workers' representatives, striking not only in Minsk but also in other cities, says the coordinator of the European Belarus civil campaign Jauhen Afnahel at a rally on Independence Square in Minsk.

- Do you remember the Freedom March at the weekend? Do you remember how many people there were?

Let's do this again this weekend.

But let's add some other moves. There should be more of us. Power comes from the capital. The power comes from Minsk. We invite everyone to Minsk. We invite the whole of Belarus to the capital this weekend.

We propose to hold the March to Minsk. From all the cities on strike and with protests. This weekend, let's gather together. Come to Minsk by car, on foot, by train, by minibus, by any means. There should be many of us. We should show this power its place. This weekend we stand together!

The audience supported it and started chanting "Everyone - to Minsk!".

It should be recalled that Basta and other independent telegram channels addressed the Belarusians and published the action plan for August 20:

- Friends, the authorities have not yet met any of our demands. That is why we keep pressing the cockroach every day without stopping.

- We support workers on strike in all cities; we come to the clock houses at plants, buildings of enterprises and organizations.

- At 7 pm we gather in the center of the cities (and in Minsk - on Independence Square) and voice our demands, the main of which is the immediate resignation of Sasha cockroach.

- economic boycott: we don't pay utility bills, we withdraw deposits from banks.
