Popular Lithuanian Band Sings In Belarusian

This way, the band supported the Belarusians who are taking to the streets.

The famous Lithuanian band Biplan has shared a video clip for the Belarusian version of the song Amore, one of their main hits. This is the way the team supported the Belarusians who are now taking to the streets. "It's a peaceful and hopeful song. The protests in Belarus are also peaceful, there is a revolution of love, and this is reflected in the video," says lead singer Max Melman, writes tut.by.

Two weeks ago, celebrating their 25th anniversary at a concert in Vilnius, the band sang Amore for the first time in Belarusian in Lithuania. This song was also performed last weekend at the Laisvės kelias (Freedom Road) support concert for Belarus in the Medininkai castle. According to the lead voice of the Biplan band Max Melman, learning to sing in Belarusian was not easy, but interesting. His pronunciation was appreciated by Liavon Volski, who also gave a concert at Laisvės kelias.

By the way, the Biplan band is not the first Lithuanian musician to publicly support peaceful protests in Belarus. Prior to that, Irish singer Erica Jennings, who lives in Lithuania, presented the song "Forget-me-not eyes", dedicated to the latest events in our country. Another Lithuanian singer, actress and composer Ieva Narkute also recently expressed her support for the neighbors.

She wrote that she would recognize hope and dream in the eyes of young Belarusians, one cannot look at it indifferently.

- I am from that generation that enjoys the sweet fruits of freedom. Through song and blood my people have regained their freedom. It's time for Belarusians to do the same. Our countries are separated only by the border, but for so long Belarusians were out of our reach. Too long. Let their hot blood and our songs, their dream and our desire to help them overcome the boundaries. Go forward, brothers and sisters Belarusians! - said Lithuanian Ieva Narkute.
