European Belarus Coordinator Yauhen Afnahel Arrested

On July 31, the police detained one of the leaders of the Belarusian opposition, European Belarus coordinator Yauhen Afnahel.

As his wife Katsiaryna told the website Charter97.org, employees of the Centre for the isolation of offenders in Akrestsin street confirmed that the politician was serving his administrative arrest in this institution.

Yauhen's wife suggested that her husband is serving the days of arrest, which he was sentenced to before, for his participation in the picket to collect signatures near the Kamarouski market in Minsk.
