Belarusians in social networks urged artists not to perform at government events.

Leonid Agutin, the bands Rasa, Kar-Man, duet Jaro and Hanza, Yulianna Karaulova and singer Mavl refused to perform at the concerts on August 8. The artists reported this in their social networks, tut.by writes. Before this the Belarusians attacked the artists' pages with requests not to come to Belarus.

For two days, Belarusians have written thousands of comments to the artists, who were announced at concerts on August 8 in Minsk and regional cities. You can read more about what exactly they wrote here. In short: the commentators asked the artists not to support the current government, and refuse to participate in concerts on the eve of the election.

Leonid Agutin, although at first he said that he was going to come and sing, later changed his mind and said that he would not come in the end: "People, that's it, relax. We are not going, there will be no concerts."

The Kar-Man band also decided not to go to Belarus.

- Due to the situation that has developed in Minsk around the concerts on August 8, we are postponing our performances to a later date and are still looking forward to meeting our fans and admirers! We love you, sincerely yours, Kar-Man.

The Rasa band also refused to perform in Minsk on August 8.

- Thank you very much for warning us. We love you very much and wish your country prosperity, - wrote Vitya, one of the lead singers of the Rasa band, in Stories. In the video, which he posted on the page, he added that he hopes to meet with Minsk residents in a better environment.

Belarusian singer Mavl also said that he does not perform at any concerts on August 8.

Khanza from the duet Jaro and Khanza admires the Belarusian solidarity, and hopes that he will be able to meet with their Minsk fans another time. Jaro published a detailed post in which he shared that the directorate is overwhelmed with the messages coming from Belarusians, and assured that their duet would not be in Minsk on August 8.

- We mostly wanted to perform in Minsk because of the little girl. Hanza wanted to hold this performance in to help her with treatment (apparently, this refers to donating the honorarium for the concert, or part of it, to charity). Those we go have such an opportunity, please support your little fellow citizen.

Jaro tagged Max Korzh in the post, and asked him to support the little girl if he could.

Singer Yulianna Karaulova also wrote that she is not flying to Belarus. She named the coronavirus as the reason, which has not gone anywhere.

- To be honest, I'm a little shocked: people around have stopped thinking about their safety and the safety of others. It is still very important to remain vigilant, and continue to wear masks in crowded places. I don't want to get sick and endanger my loved ones, do you? - wrote the girl.

Important to note, on August 8 - the day before the main voting day in the presidential election - free concerts with the participation of famous artists were announced in Minsk and all regional centers.
