Conditions For Granting Russian Loan To Cockroach Became Known

In order to obtain an interstate loan from Russia, the Lukashenka regime needs legislative amendments.

Russia will provide Belarus with a loan in two stages - $ 1 billion in 2020 and $ 500 million in 2021. As TASS writes, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters about it.

- This year we want to provide $ 1 billion, of which $ 500 million - at the expense of the EFSD (Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development. - Note.), $ 500 million - through interstate loan. Next year - $ 500 million - at the expense of interstate loan - the minister explained, noting that the conditions are being worked out with the Belarusian Ministry of Finance.

According to him, the cost of borrowing will be slightly higher than the cost of borrowing in the OFZ market.

- We will appeal to colleagues so that this institution [Eurasian Stabilization and Development Fund] decided on a small program to support Belarus, - Siluanov added.

He recalled that for the provision of interstate credit Russia needs legislative amendments.

- Such amendments have been prepared in the Budget Code. Once they are adopted, we will begin work on providing interstate credit, - Siluanov concluded.

Vladimir Putin said that Russia will provide Belarus with a loan during his meeting with Lukashenka in Sochi.
