Belarusian Cyber Partisans: "The Quiet Men" Will Not Pass Our Test

Here is an exclusive interview with a digital resistance member.

One of the "Cyber partisans of Belarus" community anonymously told "Belsat" about this movement's goals and plans.

About the database of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The loudest statement from cyber partisans was about the merger of the personal data of the security forces. Now information appears in different communities and among bloggers who work with it and gradually publish it.

"The publication process is already underway. The data is shared by Nexta, the Black Book of Belarus, and the new BlackBook service, created jointly with the channel of the anarchist group "Pramien," said one of the partisans. According to the same data, Cikhanouskaja's team compiles the "Taraikouski's list."

"But people still ask: where is the base? It is in front of you. So far, public attention has not switched to studying the data," the source said.

Before disclosing personal information about the security forces, the cyber partisans made a statement in which they asked the police and AMAP to stop the violence:

"All methods are good for reaching the security forces. Hope [that they will come to their senses. - Belsat.eu] remains."

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in turn, announced that more than 40 criminal cases were initiated against those who threaten or insult the security officials. The anonymous partisan does not know if these cases affected anyone from their cyber community:

"It's hard to say for sure. I believe that these are people either fake or Internet fighters - commentators who were not afraid to contact the "victims" and speak out openly. We see few cases when citizens go straight to the police station and express everything in person. Here the same thing. From my personal environment, absolutely no one was affected by this topic."

Now the partisans are going through the websites of state institutions. For example, the Ministry of Internal Affairs website did not work for several days after the publication of new lists of people on the wanted list.

Among the rest, the site of the Belarusian lotteries was also affected.

"You could have done anything to make everyone win, for example. We did this not to harm, but to benefit. Even the system administrator was left a note that everything is OK, you don't have to worry, the site has has undergone minor changes.

All these attacks are carried out to rally people, not to harm society. That's a kind of virtual protest. For the movement to gain momentum, it is necessary to constantly bring together people who want to join and contribute. I hope that the severity of the attacks will increase and get a tangible effect, " explained the anonymous.

Now the community is preparing a manifesto, which will tell about the organization's positioning, methods of communication, general rules for admission to the organization, the procedure for checking and filtering users, and the partisans' goals.

"Something fantastic will not be written there. The goal is to explain our objectives in an accessible way. "

The army of cyber partisans is growing quite intensively; several thousand people have already applied for participation, of which they will form separate communities:

"The squads will be divided primarily based on linguistic criteria, as they submit applications from all over the world. And the languages are, accordingly, different."

- Were there any attempts by the "cikhary" ("the quiet men") to get into the computer troops of the partisans?

"Probably, but believe me, they will not pass our test," says the anonymous cyber partisan.
