The woman has been shot for sticking up for the protesters.

Dentist Volha Rybakova from Brest, who stood up for people and was injured by the riot police, has returned to work today, Radio Svaboda reports.

In the evening of August 10, Volha Rybakova from Brest saw from the balcony of her apartment on the fourth floor how people in black were brutally detaining a young man and hit a girl. She demanded to stop the violence. In response, the policemen shot Volha with a rubber bullet. The bullet hit Volha in the lower part of the stomach, tearing apart the soft tissues. The woman was taken to hospital.

"Returned to work today"

During the first working day after treatment, Volha Rybakova received two patients.

"Today I've returned to work and gradually start working and coming back to life. Today I have got two patients, tomorrow - three, and I will intensify it gradually. I haven't worked for almost a month and a half, and I can't bear a big load yet. Everything will gradually come back to normal.

Volha's first surgery was done on August 10, the second one - on September 2, and on the 14th, she had her sutures removed.

"At first, they didn't stitch me up, they cut off all the torn tissues, and only on September 2 they stitched me up," - she said.
