The story from the March of Justice in Brest.

On September 20, the March of Justice took place all over Belarus: protest rallies were held in Brest, Homel, Hrodna, Salihorsk, Zhodzina and other cities and towns. All in all, about 300 thousand people took part in them.

The Brest edition of "Binoculars" has released a video showing how law enforcers were spraying gas in protesters' faces. The law enforcers in Brest also fired into the air: later the Interior Ministry confirmed that it was done "for preventive purposes".

Brest activist Viktar Klimus told 'The Current Time' about what was happening in the city.

- The crowd, the people who were gathering, did not provoke the law enforcement officers in any way. They did not even step out on the road. The gathering was on the sidewalk, at the square. And, most likely, it was just such an old new tactic of increasing pressure on the protesters. They tried to disperse the rally at the very beginning, at the moment of gathering.

- At what moment was the shot fired, and was it only one?

- I think there was one shot. It sounded when the crowd, which had already gathered, the protesters managed to gather, to march through the streets several times, it was, in my opinion, the third attempt of dispersal. And at that time, there were more people, they organized themselves and started to fight back against the riot police. And then they fired when they felt that the protesters started just to push them and beat off the people they were trying to detain.

- Are there any people among your acquaintances who still support Lukashenka?

- Among my acquaintances - no, there are no such people. There are people who are differently prepared to fight back, to protest against Lukashenka. Some of them are still afraid, some are afraid for their family, for their loved ones.

I really do not know those who support him. I know, there are people in the media space who are still agitating for Lukashenka. But these are those who, as a rule, have something to lose after the change of power, those who are already engaged in either crimes or propaganda, or understand that they will be just nobody under competitive politics and democratic conditions, and nobody needs their competence. There may be still some support among such officials and law enforcement officers.

You see, among common people, it is not even a question of politics anymore, whether they like his policy or not. After what happened in Belarus in August - falsifications, torture, murders of people, it is already a moral question - he [Lukashenka] has absolutely no right to be president, and everyone understands that.
