"As an Officer, I Am Very Ashamed to Put on a Uniform."

A video appeared with the confession of former security officials.

The Onliner edition showed a reportage with the participation of former law enforcement officers who quit their jobs after the August events.

"As an officer, I am very ashamed to put on a uniform when they beat the people that I have to protect. I swore an oath to defend the people of Belarus, regardless of their political views. And I don't care what flag is flying over them," says one of the people in the report.

Former police officers, prosecutors, and the military gave details of what was happening in their departments in the first days after the August 9 elections and explained why they could not continue working there.

- We received the task of obtaining military weapons and ammunition, but no one specifically defined what live ammunition was needed for, what weapons were needed for. It was an oral order; it was not documented anywhere.

After receiving this task, I said that I would not go to this kind of event, since I signed a contract with the Armed Forces, not with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This has nothing to do with the tasks of my tank platoon, - said the former military man.

- Those who follow the verbal orders, you take full responsibility for this. Those who gave you this verbal order will say later that it was your initiative, and they know nothing about it. This will be called your arbitrariness," said another person in the report, a former employee of the prosecutor's office, who tried to investigate the illegal actions of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

All the people in the report, as specialists, confirm that, lately, all laws have been violated in Belarus, and law enforcement units are carrying out criminal orders.
