Captain of "Krumkachy": I Am Proud to Call Myself a Belarusian

Captain of "Krumkachy": I Am Proud to Call Myself a Belarusian
Pavel Hrechyshka

Solidarity is now the most important word in Belarusian society.

The captain of "Krumkachy" Pavel Hrechyshka said that he could not imagine such a rallying of the Belarusian society, writes "Tribuna".

- What did you think when you learned that Kazeka and Rasolka were beaten and detained?

- Knowing our team, I thought it was a joke. We didn't know that the guys would go somewhere. And then there was news in the chat. The first thought was: "Are you kidding? We have a game the day after tomorrow!" Immediately I felt such disorientation: "What's going on?" And then, we learned that they were also beaten during their arrest. And in general, everything boiled inside, anger was felt. As many Belarusians' lives were divided into before and after August 9, so it was mine. In fact, it affected my family.

It seems that you teach yourself closer to 30 years to control emotions, manage them, and direct them to the right track. And then, there is a fountain and a stream of incomprehensible feelings. And not only with me, but with everyone who is near. Messages, calls with questions. You want to understand, help, but you can't do anything to help. They won't let you help! And this helplessness is oppressive.

- Ihar Razkou, Uladzimir Bushma came to the police station in addition to the "Krumkachy" players ...

- Solidarity. This is now the most important word in Belarusian society. I could not imagine such a well-coordinated and close-knit society until the ninth. I could not imagine that we will make such a huge leap in terms of the formation of a nation.

We are still far from the nation, but we have already turned from a population into more than a people. Previously, we all lived according to the principle: it's neither my headache nor my piece of cake. Of course, there were people who were not indifferent, but it was so for the most part. Now, look around. We've already won! We are so united! There is trouble - people are uniting.

- I was struck by the story of how people threw off the driver for a fine while he was sitting in the traffic police car.

- That's it! I couldn't imagine that. I'm proud. I am proud of the Belarusians. I am proud to call myself a Belarusian. This is amazing. We flew off the ground. And even if not everything has been decided, and there is a lot of uncertainty, we have not lost in this situation.

- We haven't won yet, but we haven't lost.

- Yes. I said the same thing to the guys yesterday (on the day of the game with Dynama. - Note). Yes, I am sure that we [Kurmkachy] will be punished. Not immediately, but sometime later. And I call on the federation to treat the club with leniency because the footballers are the initiators of everything. Not even footballers, but people. We are all people first of all, - said Hrechyshka.
