The security officials leak recordings of conversations in the Interior Ministry and the KGB themselves, anticipating the imminent end of the regime.
The recording with former KGB chief Vadzim Zaitsau talking about the elimination of journalist Pavel Sharamet, published in the media, will be the last straw for the Lukashenka regime. His policy will be recognized as terrorist by the international community. This forecast has been made for ura.news by Belarusian political analyst Dzmitry Balkunets.
Earlier, the Belgian media EUObserver published a recording of 2012, where Zaitsau discusses the attempted assassination on journalist Pavel Sharamet. Zaitsau discusses his assassination and talks about the existence of a bank account to which funds were transferred by Lukashenka's order to cover the costs of special operations to kill Sharamet and other critics of the Belarusian ruler.
"A few days ago, experts confirmed that Zaitsau's voice was indeed on the recording. Now Europe is preparing materials on recognizing Lukashenka as a terrorist and his regime as terrorist. Probably Ukraine, where Sharamet was killed, will also take action. Russia is also unlikely to want to be friends with someone whom the whole world considers a terrorist. Now he will become a political outcast. His days are numbered, his resignation is a matter of time," - Dzmitry Balkunets said.
He noted that the frequent leaks of recordings with the voices of security officials are arranged by the representatives of security agencies, who anticipate the imminent end of Lukashenka's regime.
