Andrey Suzdaltsev: Siloviki Can Liquidate Lukashenka and His Clan

The junta has little choice.

Russian political scientist Andrei Suzdaltsev writes about this in an article for the site politoboz.com.

- The current tactics of preventing the "Spring Offensive" actually contribute to the "explosion" at the turn of March-April 2021. The authorities are digging their own grave since any mass demonstrations will immediately again raise the question of the need for an early transit of power, which will mean, to one degree or another, a rebellion of the Belarusian security forces.

The problem is that the transit of power for the security forces, who in any case turned out to be "expendable material," means execution sentences. So the junta has little choice. In the first case, the security officials will simply abandon A. Lukashenka and try to dissolve in the vastness of Eurasia. In the second scenario, in order to evade responsibility, the Belarusian security forces liquidate A. Lukashenka and his clan. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that, in any case, the junta turns into a firing microwave oven, which is generally characteristic of such structures and is a traditional fate for participants in the game with authoritarianism.
