Lawyer Of Babaryka, Tsikhanouski, Dziadok Suspended From Work

A disciplinary investigation was launched against Natalya Matskevich by the Ministry of Justice.

Lawyer Natallia Matskevich was suspended from work, and a disciplinary investigation was launched against her by the Ministry of Justice of Belarus.

This was reported to Radio Svaboda by former judge Aliaksandr Dziadok, whose son, political prisoner Mikalai Dziadok was recently defended by Natalya Matskevich.

Natallia Matskevich herself refused to comment. “I won't say anything yet,” Natallia Matskevich said.

According to Aliaksandr, he has reliable information that Natallia Matskevich has already been suspended from work:

“They are considering revoking her license. As a result, my son has a legal disaster - he is left without protection for the second time during the trial. At first, Yauhen Maslau was deprived of his license, now Natallia Matskevich is under the same threat. A week ago, she was still able to visit my son in the pre-trial detention center on Valadarski Street; she planned to visit him yesterday, but this problem occurred. I believe that this is a deliberate deprivation of the right to protect people who are displeasing to the regime,” said Aliaksandr Dziadok.

Natallia Matskevich works in the Minsk City Bar Association, she defended many political prisoners, including Viktar Babaryka and Siarhei Tsikhanouski.
