"Resources Are At Standstill": Doctor Reports About Sharp Increase In COVID-19 Incidence Among Children In Belarus

The medics are already unable to cope with the workload.

A shortage of doctors in the pediatric consultation at the Marjina Horka Central District Hospital has led to a decision to visit at home only children under the age of three and children with disabilities.

This is reported by the Belarus of the Brain telegram channel.

According to the doctor, the other children with signs of a respiratory infection or fever will be sent to a separate children's room in the infectious disease wing, where doctors and nurses will work 12 hours a day, six days a week, without a break. Each child with a fever will have a PCR test done and X-rays taken, if necessary. The opening hours of the outpatient clinic have even been extended for this purpose, but it is not clear how the laboratory can handle such a workload. "Well, that's it, the resources are at a standstill," commented the medical worker on this situation.

And in such circumstances, the dictator once again returns the provision of planned medical care and cancels the control of the mask regime. All these inadequate actions only stimulate the spread of the coronavirus, turning the already unbearable work of medical workers into a living hell.
