TSN: Workers Declared Nationwide Strike In Belarus

Belarusians have put forward the so-called "authorities" 10 obligatory demands.

The Belarusian Association of Workers has announced the beginning of a nationwide strike on November 1. They will be on strike until the so-called authorities meet all 10 demands of the workers, reports the Ukrainian TV channel TSN.

This was stated by chairman of the Belarusian Association of Workers (BOR) Siarhei Dyleuski.

According to him, Belarus is in a state of pre-strike. However, it will turn into a nationwide protest, if the demands are not met:

An end to repression, the release of all political prisoners and those illegally arrested.

Bringing wages, stipends and pensions in line with the real economic situation in the country.

The beginning of open negotiations between the authorities and the democratic forces, with the obligatory participation of workers' leaders, concerning the holding of new presidential and parliamentary elections to resolve the political and economic crisis.

The reinstatement of dismissed workers, expelled students and guarantees of the safe return of all citizens who left the country because of repression.

Realization of the trade unions' right to operate independently, including the creation of new trade unions.

Implementation of the constitutional right of citizens to free movement.

Implementation of the right of citizens to be protected from COVID-19, including through vaccination with internationally recognized vaccines. Protection of the rights of medical professionals.

Implementation of the constitutional right to freedom of speech. The immediate release of all journalists and bloggers.

Normalization of relations with neighboring countries. An end to "hybrid" migration.

"Let's stop feeding the regime, let's stop going to work! Let's stay home. That's how we will defend our country, bring law and justice back into it. This is the only way we can protect ourselves and our loved ones from the epidemic that has come down on our homes," said Siarhei Dyleuski.

He notes that the regime in the country is now weaker and more helpless than ever. Sanctions are killing the so-called regime of self-proclaimed president Lukashenka. Therefore, he called on the workers to support the national strike.

"The main hope is for you. Only together we will return power to the people! Let's not go to work on November 1! On November 1, a new history of our country will begin! Together and to the victory!", said the chairman of the Belarusian Union of Workers.

We remind that the leader of Belarusian Association of Workers Siarhei Dyleuski announced the beginning of the strike starting from November 1.
