Events are developing incrementally.

A real "information war" is taking place between the official Moscow and Minsk, political observer Aliaksandr Klaskouski writes in an article on the website naviny.online.

In particular, the Moscow newspaper Kommersant reported on October 14 that “the Russian-Belarusian integration project is still stalled: the parties may not have time to prepare all 28 union programs for approval by the presidents on November 4.”

Further: Putin, having deceived the expectations of the Belarusian side, did not fly to Minsk for the CIS and EAEU summits, which were eventually held on October 14-15 via video link. But, as someone joked, no loans are issued via video link. According to political observer Valery Karbalevich, the Russian president thus avenged the defeat of Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus.

Meanwhile, Russian TV channels have started to bite Lukashenko again, while his propaganda staff made some politically incorrect replies to Putin's remarks.

Recently, the results of a closed poll by Public Opinion Research Center in Belarus for the Russian Foreign Ministry were leaked to the Internet. The well-known Belarusian sociologist Henadz Korshunau is inclined to believe that the study is genuine.

So, in short, its results are absolutely not in favor of Lukashenka and his entourage, destroying the myth of the mass rallying of the nation around the leader. On the contrary, the popularity of alternative figures is much higher. The overwhelming majority is against blocking the media, for market reforms, negotiations between the authorities and the opposition, and the transition to a parliamentary republic.

We see, at least, the Kremlin's desire to strain, to tease Lukashenka.

By the way, it is not a fact that Putin and Lukashenka will meet in person at the meeting of the Supreme State Council on November 4. Perhaps the meeting itself will be postponed. In any case, the Russian side is speaking about the event more and more vaguely.

In any case, the conflict between allies is flaring up and can flare up more.
