Writer-Supporter Of Lukashenka: People Would Spit While Looking Me In The Eyes

The writer-major described how she went out in uniform for walks in August 2020.

Belarusian Major, writer, and military journalist Hanna Chyzh-Litash told the ONT propaganda TV channel how people felt about her uniform in August 2020, and why she realized that she "had to learn to live in the new reality."

"A couple of days after the events of August 9, before I even realized what had happened, I went to lunch wearing my uniform. I was amazed at the way people looked at me. They were spitting, looking me in the eyes. I was frightened, shocked, because I had always been comfortable going out in my uniform, and I didn't understand what could have changed - I had been wearing it for almost 12 years. I realized that I would have to learn to live in the new reality. It isn't about proving to someone that we are good. I realized that the words alone will not prove anything to anyone," said Hanna Chyzh-Litash.

In addition, the writer noted that in 2020 she received messages with threats, and she "was even turning around on her way home".
