Homel Women Penal Colony Administration Abuses Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk

The European Belarus activist has been put in a punishment cell again.

Activist of the European Belarus civil campaign, political prisoner Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk was again placed in a disciplinary cell for 10 days on December 1. This was reported to Belsat by the activist's husband, Andrei Sharenda.

"Palina has been kept in the Homel women colony since August, and it's already the fifth time she's been in the punishment cell during this time. Palina does not recognize the authorities, she considers herself as a hostage, and it irritates them, they can't break her, and that's how they take revenge," said Andrei.

Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk was detained in her own house on January 3. The law-enforcers broke in there. On June 9 the Maskouski district court of Brest illegally sentenced the European Belarus activist to 2 years in jail.
