Polish Police Found Dead Migrant On Border With Belarus

The body of a man with a backpack and a Nigerian passport was found in the forest near Olchowka in Narewka municipality on Tuesday, the Podlaskie police said Wednesday morning.

Tomasz Krupa, a spokesman for the Podlaskie police, said soldiers found the body about 9 kilometers from the Polish-Belarusian border. He noted that it was not known exactly whether the man, whose passport was found, was a Nigerian. The identity will be established, reports Polsat.

The police were conducting activities in connection with the incident under the supervision of the prosecutor on Tuesday.

The body of the man was taken for the forensic examination.
