Another Dubious Russian Vaccine To Be Used In Belarus

It is registered only in Russia and Turkmenistan.

Belarus has received a new coronavirus vaccine, EpiVacCorona, from Russia.

Belarus received a new coronavirus vaccine and test system from Russia. This is the second Russian vaccine EpiVacCorona. Earlier, the Russian Federation transferred to our country the medication “Sputnik V”.

“Today I have handed over a new vaccine, EpiVacCorona, as a gift to Belarus, a testimony of our strong friendship. I am sure this vaccine will help keep frontline health workers and people of Belarus healthy. Today we have also handed over new-generation test kits to detect the virus,” Head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being [Rospotrebnadzor] Anna Popova told reporters following her meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Raman Halouchanka, BelTA reports.

Note that the EpiVacCorona vaccine is registered only in Russia and Turkmenistan. Also, the vaccine has passed only two stages of clinical trials, and not three, like most Western counterparts.
