64 thousand people live in the city.

Water was cut off throughout Zhodzina after an accident that occurred on March 18 at 8:45 am at the 110-transformer substation of BelAZ, ex-press.by reports.

According to Zhodzina residents, at first, brown water flowed from the tap, and then it disappeared at all.

It is reported that the distribution point at the BelAZ substation, which supplies most of the city, including the Severny water intake, has been disconnected.

The chief sanitary doctor of Zhodzina, Siarhei Kanavalau, sent a letter to the director of the Public Catering Complex Yauhen Loban and the heads of public catering and trade facilities in Zhodzina, marked "very urgent."

He recommends that all educational institutions, public catering, and trade facilities be provided with drinking bottled water - both for drinking and for cooking.

"The use of water from centralized water supply networks is not recommended until satisfactory results of laboratory tests of water are obtained," the document says.

64 thousand people live in Zhodzina.

In June 2020, Minsk residents faced a similar situation: due to an accident in Mingorvodokanal, residents of Frunzenski and Maskouski districts were without drinking water for several days.
