On April 2, the famous physician is collecting his work record book.

Uladzimir Martau, head of the department of anesthesiology and resuscitation of the city emergency clinical hospital in Vitsebsk, has received a notification about the non-renewal of his employment contract.

The doctor confirmed to tut.by that on April 2 he is "collecting his work record book".

On March 1, Uladzimir Martau received a notification from the hospital administration that his labor contract would not be prolonged starting from April 3, "in connection with the expiry of its term".

Uladzimir Martau confirmed this information:

- On April 2, I'm collecting my work record book.

The doctor says that he "expected" it, but he is not ready to talk about it in detail.

We have not managed to get an official comment from the Regional Health Department and the Ministry of Health.

Uladzimir Martau was one of the first doctors in Belarus, who back in April 2020, when the authorities assured that no one died from COVID-19, was not afraid to announce that there was a problem and it was serious.

Last May, he spoke about his experience treating patients with coronavirus in the intensive care unit.

In November, Dr. Martau gave a big interview about the second wave of covid. The resuscitator said that Vitsebsk itself was affected by the infection less than in the spring, but the scenarios for the disease were very different: even young patients and those who were healthy lifestyle supporters were dying. And for the doctors at the new "war" there was also a "second front" - a political one.
