Even Loyal To Belarusian Regime EDB Predicts Possible Shortage Of Goods

All the blame goes to the administrative regulation of prices.

The policy of administrative limitation of prices increase, if it is carried out in Belarus for a long time, may lead to a shortage of goods. Analysts of the Eurasian Development Bank came to this conclusion, the website naviny.by writes.

“Prolonged use of such measures increases the likelihood of a shortage of certain goods, and an accelerated increase in prices for goods that are not socially important essentials,” the EDB analysts believe.

According to the estimates of the Eurasian Bank, inflation in Belarus will remain in the range of 8-8.5% yoy in February-March, and by the end of October it will be above 7% in annual terms.

Note that the Eurasian Development Bank is quite loyal in its forecasts in relation to the Belarusian regime, but even it predicts problems in the economy.
