Lithuania And Ukraine To Form Working Group On BelNPP

Lithuanian Energy Minister called for solidarity in blocking Astravets NPP.

The Ministers of Energy of Lithuania and Ukraine have agreed to form a working group, which will exchange information on the security situation at the Belarusian nuclear power plant, as well as the import of electricity from Russia, and analyze the flow of electricity, Delfi reports.

Dainius Kreivys, Minister of Energy of Lithuania, and Yury Vitrenko, Minister of Energy of Ukraine, discussed the relevant agreement at the meeting in Ukraine.

"BelNPP is a geopolitical project: it is a common threat to Lithuania and Ukraine, so we should join hands to block its further development," - Dainius Kreivys says.
