Public Sector of Vaukavysk: The Situation at the Enterprises Is Heating Up

Discontent flares up over penny wages and enslaving working conditions.

The Country for Life Telegram channel received a huge number of reports about the dire situation of public sector workers in Vaukavysk.

After analyzing and checking the information, it turned out that:

- In the Vaukavysk polyclinic, doctors with 35 years of experience are paid 500 rubles and forced to work on bonded conditions.

- At the railway water utility, the salary was lowered from 800-900 to 600 rubles without explanation. The workers are ready to go on strike.

- KrasnoselskStroyMaterialy is on the verge of bankruptcy; employees were transferred to a four-day working week with a decrease in wages.

- Cooks are being dismissed from Belobst because of low wages. Three were officially dismissed; the actual number of those who left is still unknown.

Bellakt's employees were also cut wages, contrary to the terms of the contracts. The situation at the factory is tense.

- The salaries of the locomotive depot locksmiths and the builders of the NGCH-2 brigade were also cut by 200 rubles.

Some enterprises in Vaukavysk are already under the full control of the security forces.

A local resident writes about this: “Good day! In general, the situation is different. As elsewhere, there are activists, there are stable supporters of the movement, but there are people simply tired of waiting for a signal to act. It is problematic to raise them for a strike, after all, they sit on strategic products. Karaeu visited them more than once. Once he came, and the executive committee was closed to visitors all day."
