City Executive Committee "Explained" Disappearance Of Water In Large Part Of Minsk

Minsk authorities have published an official report on the water failure in Minsk:

"The water supply is disrupted in Kastrychnitsky, Leninsky and Zavadski districts due to damage to a large water pipeline with a diameter of 1000 mm near one of the construction sites of the capital. Emergency teams are currently working at the site. It is expected that the damage will be localized by 22.40, after which the water supply will begin to restore, but it will also take some time.

Tankers with drinking water will be sent to the affected areas. Information about the locations will be posted on the Minskvadakanal website.

According to the company's information the supposed consequence of the accident is a temporary deterioration of water quality in three districts of the capital. Citizens are asked to report such phenomena to the short number 115 or to the control room of the Minskvadakanal. Specialists will respond to such signals and perform flushing of water supply networks".
