Iryna Khalip: Something Passed On From Those Belarusian Partisans to Today’s Ones
Iryna Khalip

Perhaps this is due to genes.

“The occupation always has some common features. Regardless of who is the occupier,” journalist Iryna Khalip said on the air of Radio Racyja.

“They are strangers and behave like strangers in the land they are on. And therefore, of course, there is something in common between these occupations. As well as between the partisans of the past and the partisans of today.

It seems to me that this is already such a generational connection, which I do not know what is due to. Maybe to genes, maybe to some historical memory. But something has been passed on from those Belarusian partisans to today's ones, those who organize protest actions in any conditions, in all geographical points of our country.
