Belsat Director: Andżelika Borys Rejected Freedom In Exchange for Deportation

The Head of the Union of Poles in Belarus refused to make a deal with the authorities.

Director of Belsat Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy informed on Facebook that Head of the Union of Poles Andżelika Borys, who is in prison, was offered a deal: they were ready to release her in exchange for her consent to deportation from Belarus to Poland. However, she refused.

She also said that a similar offer was probably made to Andrzej Poczobut, and he also refused.

The defendants in the case of the Union of Poles face up to 12 years in prison.
