The activist of European Belarus and mother of two minor children is tortured in the detention centre.

Activist of the European Belarus civil campaign in Brest Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk, who's been in detention centre No. 7 for more than four months, was "formally charged" by the illegal authorities. Belsat informs.

The mother of two minor children is groundlessly accused under three articles of the Criminal Code: 368 ("Insult to Lukashenka"), 369 ("Insult to a public officer") and 364 ("Violence or threat of violence against an employee of the Interior Ministry").

- Yesterday, Palina is again in an isolation cell for ten days. Palina was on the prophylactic register as "prone to extremism". Palina does not cooperate with the investigation and the administration of the detention centre, she is being psychologically and physically pressured. I believe there is a direct threat to the health and life of my wife. I'd like to address the public with a statement that prisoners are tortured in DT No. 7. Palina has already stated it. The administration takes revenge for that," said Palina's husband and activist of the European Belarus civil campaign, Andrei Sharenda, in a conversation with Belsat.

A criminal case was brought against him as well, allegedly for "insult to Lukashenka".
