Russian citizen Sofia Sapega, who was detained together with Belarusian journalist Raman Pratasevich in Minsk, was charged under Art. 130 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (“Incitement of racial, national, religious or other social hostility or hatred”). A source told this to Novaya Gazeta.

The publication also reports that, according to preliminary information, the Russian citizen is also suspected of "organizing mass riots" (part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code), "organizing actions that grossly violate public order" (part 1 of article 342 of the Criminal Code). She faces up to 15 years in prison.
