Former Head of Lukashenka’s Administration: I’m on the Side of the People

We need fair elections.

The former head of Lukashenka's Administration Leanid Sinitsyn told Narodnaya Volya about his attitude to the current situation in Belarus:

- Which side? Well, of course, I'm with the people! Lukashenka himself said that he had been here for too long, it was time to leave. If you said - do it. We just need fair elections. We need to hold elections only in a fair way! It is necessary that the parties are also represented in the election commissions. Although the parties are not very relevant in our society but nevertheless. We need independent observers and international ones, too. And everything will calm down.

But the CEC needs to be completely replaced. The last elections held by Yarmoshyna were disastrous.

It was not a political revolution but rather a moral one. During that critical period, there was no competent leader. People demanded fair and moral elections but there was no such leader. We tried to appoint someone, but it didn’t work. Therefore, it did not work out. But the situation will ripen, a leader will appear. Maybe the government will help someone to mature...
