Farmers in Alshany told why they crush cucumbers by bus.

Alshany, Stolin district is known to be the cucumber capital of Belarus, the local farmers there destroy cucumbers under the wheels of a truck. The thing is that their purchasing price dropped too low due to an oversupply in the market. Onliner asked the farmers what was going on.

The video of the incident was published by the Pershy Regiyon portal. The farmer in the video tramples cucumbers with his feet and slides on them with a minibus, saying: "Now you can get 10 kapeykas each, that’s a normal cucumber!"

It turned out that the purchase price for cucumbers in Alshany fell to 10 kapeykas per kilogram. This is even lower than their cost, taking into account all expenses.

- We now have a surplus of them on the market, they really sell for 10 kapeykas. It's easier to can them, really. People are sorry to sell their work for a penny, - said one of the local farmers Ivan Hryb. - It's good that we grow tomatoes, everything is good with them this year!

Another local farmer named Dzmitry said:

- Things are sad with cucumbers. The price dropped to 10 kapeykas, because no one takes, there is no acceptance for Russia, - says Dzmitry. - The situation in the video was actually as follows: they loaded the truck with cucumbers and threw away those that they didn't like, and a whole bunch came out under the car. When the truck was loaded, the car drove over these cucumbers. People sell cucumbers for 10 kapeykas, although this is a continuous loss. You can't even salt them in such a quantity.

According to the farmer, a ton of cucumbers costs 100 rubles, and an employee receives 40 rubles a day. It takes two to collect a ton in a day. Plus fuel.

In one of the videos, a minibus drove over cucumbers, in the second - a truck. At the same time, at the weekend at the market in Tabory near Minsk, the price for cucumbers ranged from 50 kapeykas to 1 ruble.
